WBB: CAPERS lose overtime thriller!
Keough and Brown combine for 58 points but fall short in an overtime against UNB.

Sydney, NS - Alison Keough (Marion Bridge, NS) and Hannah Brown (North Sydney, NS) both had fantastic performances for the Cape Breton University CAPERS, but it was not enough, as they fell to the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds in overtime by a final score of 90-83. Mikaela Dodig (Bolton, ON) led the Varsity Reds with a team-high 21 points.
Turning point - Keough hit a pair of clutch free throws to send the game into overtime, but Hannah Currie (Collingwood, ON) stepped up her game in the overtime period. She had 6 points in overtime and also grabbed some key rebounds to help the Varsity Reds improve their record to 6-4.
Individual Leaders
- Hannah Brown and Alison Keough both had huge games. Brown scoring 28 points with 9 rebounds and Keough contributing 30 points with 13 rebounds.
- Mikaela Dodig, Emily MacLeod (Fredericton, NB), Nicole Esson (Fredericton, NB), and Hannah Currie all had at least 14 points, leading a balanced attack for the Varsity Reds.
- To go along with her 21 points, Mikaela Dodig also had 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals.

Alison Keough passed Janice Moseychuk to become 2nd on CBU's all-time scoring list.
The Varsity Reds pass the CAPERS in the standings, improving their record to 6-4.
The CAPERS with the loss are now 5-5 this season.
