CBU DEFEATS MOUNTIES

The Mount Allison Mounties hosted CIS # 8 Cape Breton Capers and lost 3-0 at Alumni Field in
Sackville on Sunday afternoon.The Mounties hung tough with CBU through the first half for 32 minutes before Caper Ali Fahie (Bedford, NS) burned the twine. CBU led 1-0 at the break.Mountie keeper, Tessa Ritchie (Ottawa, ON) turned back 6 of 7 in the first 45 and 8 of 11 for the match.
Additional Cape Breton goals came off the toes of Madison Goodliffe (Missississauga,ON) and Chelsea Foote (Coxheath, NS) in the second frame. Rachel Yerxa (Mississassauga, ON) earned the clean sheet for CBU. After weekend play, the CAPERS have a 4-0-0 record and are tied for 1st place in the 10 team loop.
The CAPERS return home to play Memorial (24 September) and Mount Allison (25
September).
