Blain's Jersey Retired
Cape Breton University has retired former soccer star Karolyn Blain's #13.
Sydney, NS - On Saturday night at the Sullivan Field House, the CBU Department of Athletics retired soccer star Karolyne Blain's #13.
Her outstanding career includes: being the AUS All Time leading goal scorer in Women's Soccer, 2 Time AUS MVP, 3 Time CIS All Canadian, AUS Rookie of the Year, 5 Time Academic All Canadian, the first CBU student athlete to receive the James Bayer Memorial Scholarship, 2 time recipient of the President's Award, and a two time CBU Female Athlete of the Year.
Blain scored 53 goals in 55 career AUS games and sits atop the AUS All-time scoring list. She also holds the AUS single season scoring record and the CAPERS won 2 AUS title during her time in Cape Breton.
Blain is currently attending medical school at Laurentian University.
