(Sydney, N.S.) - The Cape Breton University Capers and the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds fought to physical 1-1 draw on Saturday afternoon in front of 282 at CBU Field in Sydney. The highly anticipated home opener was a rematch of last year's AUS championship game.
For the CAPERS Peter Schaale (Bernkastel-Kues, Germany) scored a goal at the 18' minute. The Varsity Reds replied on a 45' minute penalty taken by Marcus Lees. Subway Player of the Game for the CAPERS was Peter Schaale. The CAPERS accumulated 6 shots while giving up 3 shots.
