MSOC: National Champs to play in AUS Final
The Cape Breton CAPERS continued in their quest to win another national title by beating the Dalhousie Tigers to earn a spot in the AUS final and the National Championships at UBC.

Sydney, NS – The host team and #1 seed Cape Breton University CAPERS punched their ticket to AUS final on Sunday. The CAPERS used a huge possession advantage to earn a decided advantage in play. The CAPERS broke open the game in the second half to beat Dalhousie 3-0.
The CAPERS held the advantage in possession throughout the first half but couldn't get a lead. They fired 16 shots, 3 on goal, but the Tigers did well to force the shots wide and high. Both teams entered the break tied at zero.
The second half was more of the same with CBU owning the time of possession. Peter Schaale (Bernkastel-Keus, DE) scored on a set piece in the 61stminute that broke open the game. Marcus Campanile (Edinburgh, UK) and Matt Larter (Waverly, NS) added singles to put the game away. Joel Eckert-Ayensa (Pulhaim, DE) and Cory Bent (Preston, UK) picked up assists.
Ben Jackson of the CAPERS kept a clean sheet for the shutout and victory in the Cape Breton ent. 1st-Team AUS All-star Ben Grondin (Calgary, AB) stopped 8 of 11 shots in a losing cause.
With the win, the CAPERS will now face the winner of the second semi-final between the #2 seed St.FX and the #3 seed UNB Reds.
