Battling for their playoff lives, the Cape Breton University Capers women's soccer team posted two strong performances in a pair of weekend road games
Sunday, the Capers battled to a scoreless draw with Acadia. Tiffany O'Donnell made three saves in the Capers goal, while Caroline Wood stopped six shots for the Axewomen.
Saturday, Karolyne Blain scored twice to pace the Capers women against the Saint Mary's Huskies in a 4-0 triumph.
Kara MacKinnon and Chelsea Currie also found the back of the net.
Blain, the reigning AUS Most Valuable Player leads the conference in scoring again this season, with 12 goals in 11 games.
O'Donnell stopped five shots for the shutout.
