St. John's, NFLD - After a hard-fought 76 minutes of play, third-year defender, Fatou Ndiaye (Pierrefonds, QC) raced down the line and crossed the ball causing an own goal to give the Capers a late lead. Second-year, Rachel Leck (Pickering, ON), contributed 4 shots, with 2 on target along with first-year Erin Freeman (Halifax, NS) who added 3 shots on target. The Capers once again proved their place in the national rankings with a solid defensive back line. Rachel Yerxa (Mississauga, ON) made 5 saves to achieve a clean sheet and contribute to the Capers victory.
Turning Point: Memorial's own goal off Ndiaye's cross late in the second half broke the tie to give the Capers the lead.
