2018-19 AUS Basketball schedules announced
CAPERS basketball opens up on the road against Dalhousie on November 3rd.
(HALIFAX, N.S.) – Atlantic University Sport is pleased to announce the 2018-19 regular season sport schedules for men's and women's basketball as well as the hosts for the 2019 AUS winter championships.
All AUS regular season and postseason games will be webcast at AUStv.ca powered by Bell Aliant and select games will be broadcast live on Bell Aliant's Fibe TV on the TV1 channel (channel 1).

Men's and Women's Basketball
The 2018-19 AUS men's and women's basketball regular season is set to begin Thursday, Nov. 1 with Acadia visiting Saint Mary's.
The doubleheader gets underway with the reigning AUS champion Axewomen taking on the Huskies at 6 p.m. The Axemen will then face off with the Huskies in the men's game at 8 p.m.
The CAPERS open their season in Halifax to play the Dalhousie Tigres on November 3rd
The UPEI Panthers' newly appointed women's basketball head coach Matt Gamblin will make his AUS debut Saturday, Nov. 3 as the 2018 AUS runners-up host the Memorial Sea-Hawks in their home opener at 6 p.m. The men's game will follow at 8 p.m.
Fall semester play will wrap up Sunday, Nov. 25 with the Memorial Sea-Hawks teams visiting the Cape Breton Capers. Regular season play resumes Jan. 4 for the winter semester.
The regular season concludes Sunday, Feb. 23.
The 2019 Subway AUS Basketball Championships will once again be hosted by the AUS conference office at Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, N.S.
This year's championships will take place March 1-3.
Last season, the Subway AUS Women's Basketball Championship joined the men's championship permanently as a yearly fixture at Scotiabank Centre. The joint event first began as a pilot project in 2015.
The AUS women's champion will advance to the 2019 U SPORTS women's basketball championship being hosted March 7-10 by Ryerson University.
The Atlantic conference will once again have two berths in the men's national championship as Dalhousie hosts the U SPORTS Final 8 men's basketball championship March 7-10 at Scotiabank Centre in Halifax.
The AUS berths will go to Dalhousie, as host, and the AUS champion. Should the Tigers capture the 2019 AUS title, the second Atlantic conference berth will be awarded to the runner up.
