Capers upset Panthers

The Cape Breton University Capers picked up a huge victory knocking off the first place University of Prince Edward Island Panthers 111-90 in AUS men’s basketball action in Sydney.
The four-point win improved the Capers to 9-6 on the season and with 26 points they sit just four back of the Panthers.
Jimmy Dorsey led the Capers offense, posting his third triple-double of the season, finishing with 20 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists.
Julian Smith had 22 points and nine assists while A.J. Geugjes posted 20 points and eight rebounds for the Capers.
Al Alilovic with 12 points and Lee MacQuarrie with 11 points rounded out five Capers who finished in double digits.
Geoff Doane had 22 points to lead all UPEI scorers.
Jonathan Cooper chipped in with 13 points while Donathan Moss and Manock Lual added a dozen points apiece in a losing cause.
CBU will look to climb the standings further Sunday when they host the Acadia Axemen in a 4 p.m. start at the Sullivan Fieldhouse. Acadia currently sits tied with the StFX X-Men for second spot in the AUS with 28 points.
