Dorsey named All-Canadian
The fourth-year guard from Baltimore, Md., was named a first-team all-Canadian at the Canadian Interuniversity Sport men’s basketball awards Thursday in Halifax.
Dorsey was named most valuable player in the Atlantic University Sport conference last week, becoming the first Capers men’s player to win the award. Both he and Capers women’s hoopster Cassie Cooke also became the first basketball MVPs from the same school.
Dorsey was tops in the conference by averaging 22.8 points per game, which was also the fourth highest in the country. He also led the AUS in assists with 8.83 per game and steals at 2.78 per game. Dorsey set a new CBU men’s record for points in a game by scoring 49 in a 111-106 win over the Acadia Axemen, Feb. 12.
Dorsey was also named to the AUS first all-star team for the third consecutive season.
