Capers finish homestand on losing note

The Cape Breton University Capers wrapped up the home portion of their schedule on the wrong side of a 68-56 decision to the Acadia Axemen in AUS men's basketball action Saturday in Sydney.
Sean McCormick led the Capers offensively, finishing with 14 points and 21 rebounds as CBU fell to 9-10 overall.
Meshack Lufile added 14 points and six boards while Lee MacQuarrie in his final game at the Sullivan Fieldhouse, chipped in with eight points and four rebounds.
Anthony Ashe had 18 points for the first place Axemen, who improved to 14-4 this season.
Owen Klassen added 12 points and 14 rebounds for the winners.
The Capers will finish the regular season next weekend when they travel to Fredericton to face the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds.
