CAPERS lose, finish 4th in AUS
Sydney, NS – It was the Credit Union on the Court Senior Night at the Sullivan Fieldhouse on Friday evening and the CAPERS dropped a 77-70 game to the visiting UPEI Panthers.

Sydney, NS – It was the Credit Union on the Court Senior Night at the Sullivan Fieldhouse on Friday evening and the CAPERS dropped a 77-70 game to the visiting UPEI Panthers. In Shacier Locke`s (Mississauga, ON) final game at home, he put up 11 points and grabbed 5 boards in 32 minutes. The CAPERS were led in scoring by current AUS scoring leader Osman Omar (Mississauga, ON) with 20 points. Local product Jason Callaghan (Sydney, NS) had 17 points and 4 rebounds in the losing cause. The Panthers were led Jamesley Jermone with 19 points and 6 rebounds. The Charlottetown school also received strong games from Milorad Sedlarevic (13 points, 7 rebounds) and Judy Georges (10 points, 7 rebounds).
Turning point – The Panthers built up a large lead through the first 3 quarters that the CAPERS couldn`t overcome. The CAPERS won the final quarter 19-10 but simply ran out of time.
Individual Leaders
- Omar led all scorers with 20 points
- Paul Watson (Mississauga, ON) of CBU led all players 10 rebounds
- The Panthers`Amin Suleman led all players with 4 assists
- Sedlarevic had a game-high four 3-pointers

The Subway Player of the Game was UPEI`s Jamesley Jerome.
The CAPERS finish the year 9-11 and in 4th place.
UPEI moves to 6-13 on the year. The Panthers will finish their regular season against St.Fx.
The CAPERS return to the AUS playoffs after a two-year absence next weekend in Halifax. Their first game will be Friday.
