Capers drop pair to undefeated Huskies

The Cape Breton University Capers women's basketball team dropped their second game in as many days Sunday, falling 93-59 to the visiting Saint Mary's Huskies.
Marion Bridge native Alison Keough had 22 points and eight rebounds for the Capers, who fell to 6-5 on the season.
Colleen Keane with 11 points and seven boards and Tanira McClurkin with 11 points were other top scorers for the Capers.
Rachelle Coward had a game-high 31 points and eight rebounds for the undefeated Huskies.
Justine Colley with 21 points and six assists and Emily Jameson with 19 points, including five-of-six from beyond the arc, helped pace the Huskies attack.
Laura Langille chipped in with 13 points and 13 rebounds in a winning cause.
The Capers women's basketball team broke a three-game win streak on Saturday with a 71-55 loss to the SMU Huskies.
Keough paced the Capers with 14 points at the Sullivan Fieldhouse, while Tanira McClurkin chipped in with 10 points and Valentina Primossi added nine points.
For the Huskies, Colley netted a game-high 27 points, while Coward netted 22 points.
Colley, a fifth-year senior and reigning CIS Most Outstanding Player, set the CIS career scoring mark with her performance Saturday.
