CAPERS Well Represented on Team Canada

Sydney, NS - 5th-Year Forward Alison Keough of the Cape Breton CAPERS will represent her country for the first time this summer. It was announced late Friday that she made the Canadian women's Development Team roster and will play in two upcoming international tournaments in Asia.
The Marion Bridge native has produced a decorated AUS and U Sports career. She was named the National Rookie of the Year and has since been named to the U Sports All-Canadian team and AUS MVP. Most recently she helped the CAPERS win the AUS championship and a earned a trip to the national university championships.
Keough will be joined by fellow CAPER Fabian McKenzie as he will be the head coach of the National Development Team team for a sixth year.
The team leaves for Tokyo on Aug. 9 to play in a Four Nations Tournament with Japan, the United States and Australia.
From there, the team moves on to Taipei for the World University Games. Canada plays Portugal, South Korea and Japan in the preliminaries.
