Brown named 1st-Team All-Canadian
TORONTO (U SPORTS) – Cape Breton University forward Hannah Brown was honoured as a 1st-Team All-Canadian Wednesday night, as the national award winners were celebrated at the annual All-Canadian gala.
TORONTO (U SPORTS) – Cape Breton University forward Hannah Brown (North Sydney, NS) was honoured as a 1st-Team All-Canadian Wednesday night, as the national award winners were celebrated at the annual All-Canadian gala.
A Business Administration student from North Sydney, NS., Brown led the AUS in scoring averaging 26.4 points per game and finished second in rebounding averaging 12.6 per game. Brown's 26.4 ppg were enough to lead the country. She also set a CBU single-season record for points (528) which ranks second all-time in the AUS. The Cape Breton native also set a new CBU single-season rebounding record with 251 which also ranks the second best all-time in the AUS. Brown is the 4th female basketball CAPER to be recognized as a 1st-Team All-Canadian. She follows Kelsey Hodgson (2008-09 & 2009-10), Cassie Cooke (2011-12) and Alison Keough (2016-17 & 2017-18).
