Grace Hannaford, a third-year midfielder from Enfield, NS, is the Subway CBU female athlete of the week for the one ending Sept. 15.
The Bachelor of Science student scored two points – one goal and one assist – to help lead the Capers to a 3-0 victory over the Mount Allison Mounties in Atlantic University Sport (AUS) women's soccer action Sept. 14 at the Ness Timmons Soccer Field in Sydney.
Hannaford, who had three shots on goal in the victory, has five goals in five matches to kick off the regular season.
Hannaford and her Caper teammates – off to an undefeated 4-0-1 record in conference play – will return to the pitch with a road contest versus Les Aigles Bleues de Moncton on Saturday, Sept. 21.

The Bachelor of Arts student collected four shots on goal, including two goals, in a 3-1 win over the Mount Allison Mounties in Atlantic University Sport (AUS) men's soccer action Sept. 14 at Ness Timmons Soccer Field on the CBU campus in Sydney.
It was the first goals of the 2024 AUS campaign for the CBU captain, who was a consistent offensive threat throughout the contest.
Piepgrass and his teammates – off to an unbeaten 3-0-2 record in conference play – will return to action when they visit Les Aigles Bleus de Moncton on Saturday, Sept. 21.
