Alliyah Rowe, a fifth-year striker from Kitchener, Ontario, is the 7by7 Restaurant CBU female athlete of the week for the week ending Sept. 29.
The Bachelor of Arts student scored four goals for the CAPERS in a pair of weekend home triumphs at Ness Timmons Field.
On Sept. 27, in the 87th minute, the All-Canadian broke a scoreless tie with the Memorial Sea-Hawks by lacing a highlight-reel, left-footed strike into the top corner to give the CAPERS the edge. It was the game-winning marker in a 1-0 victory.
Two days later, on Sept. 29, she notched a hat-trick in a convincing 6-1 win over the visiting Saint Mary's Huskies. Her 3rd goal on this day marked her 70th AUS career goal.
Rowe, who played every minute of both matches, finished with six shots on goal for the weekend.
The all-time single season (25) and career goal-scoring leader, with 70, in AUS women's soccer history has a conference-best 14 tallies in eight matches in 2024.
Rowe and the first-place CAPERS (7-0-1), who remain the lone undefeated team in the conference, will host the Acadia Axewomen on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 1 p.m., in their season finale on home turf.

Owen Sheppard, a fourth-year striker from St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, is the 7by7 Restaurant CBU male athlete of the week for the week ending Sept 29.
The Bachelor of Business Administration student scored three goals in a pair of home victories for the defending U SPORTS champions on home turf at Ness Timmons Field.
On Sept. 27, in a one-sided 7-1 win over the Memorial Sea-Hawks, the dynamic forward tallied once as part of a balanced CBU attack.
Two days later, on Sept. 29, Sheppard gave the CAPERS a 2-0 first half edge with a couple of goals just more than two minutes apart, including the game-winner.
With nine points, including five goals, Sheppard is tied for second in the conference in points.
Sheppard and the CAPERS (6-0-2), who remain undefeated in AUS play, will host the Acadia Axemen on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 3:15 p.m., in their season finale on home turf.
