Shakael (Shak) Pryce – a fifth-year guard with the Cape Breton University (CBU) CAPERS varsity basketball team – is the 7 by 7 Restaurant CBU male athlete of the week for the week ending March 2.
Shak was instrumental in the CAPERS victory over the Saint Mary's Huskies in the AUS quarterfinal matchup on Friday, February 28 at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax. Shak had a team high of 24 points and also contributed 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.
In the semi-final matchup loss against the UPEI panthers, Shak led the team in points again with 23. He also added 2 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals in the very close battle.

Kiyara Letlow – a fourth year forward with the Cape Breton University (CBU) CAPERS varsity basketball team - is the 7 by 7 Restaurant CBU female athlete of the week for the week ending March 2.
In the match-up on Friday, February 28, Kiyara led the charge for the CAPERS in their win over the STFX X-Women in the AUS championship quarter final with 14 points. She also contributed 12 rebounds 4 assists, 1 steal and 4 blocks. Kiyara was names the Subway player of the game for this performance.
In the losing effort against the Saint Mary's Huskies in the AUS semi-finals on Saturday, March 1, Kiyara added 16 points, 15 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block.
