Capers push win streak to four games

The Cape Breton Capers pushed their winning streak to four games with an 80-73 win over the visiting University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds in AUS men's basketball Friday in Sydney.
Knotted 61-61 through three quarters, CBU road a 19-12 scoring advantage in the final 10 minutes to take the victory.
AJ Geugjes had 15 points and seven rebounds in just 21 minutes to lead the Capers offence as CBU improved to 8-8 on the year.
Cedric Kasongo added 14 points, five rebounds and four assists for the winners while Seth Amoah and Sean McCormick added 13 points apiece for the defending AUS champions.
Meshack Lufile also finished in double digits for CBU, posting 10 points.
Javon Masters had a game-high 28 points for the Varsity Reds.
Jordan Irvine and Mark Matheson added 16 and 11 points respectively for the visitors.
CBU will tip-off against their top rival, the StFX X-Men Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Sullivan Fieldhouse.
