(FREDERICTON, NB) The University of Quebec at Montreal Citadins rallied from a 15-point third quarter deficit to beat the Cape Breton University CAPERS 83-80, in the opening game of UNB's Eric Garland Tournament.
Christopher Doumpa scored 19 points to lead the Citadins, who trailed 66-51 after three-quarters.
UQAM exploded for 32 points in the fourth quarter.
Osman Omar scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Capers.
The exhibition tournament continues Saturday.
The CAPERS face Atlantic University Sport rivals the Saint Mary's Huskies in a 4:00pm(Atl.) tip-off on Saturday afternoon.
