(FREDERICTON, NB) Javon Masters(Kitchener, ON) scored 45 points to lead the UNB Varsity Reds in a 92-78 win over the University of Cape Breton Capers in the final game of UNB's Eric Garland Tournament, on Sunday.
The fifth-year guard added 10 rebounds to his 45-point performance for the double-double.
Martin Campbell(Upper Marlboro, MD) came off the Capers bench to score 21 points. Starter Osman Omar(Mississauga, ON) added 15.
Masters was named the most valuable player of the Eric Garland Tournament, while Doumbouya was named to the tournament all-star team, along with the Capers' Martin Campbell.
Next up for the CAPERS, they host the annual CAPERS Fall Classic October 6-8th. Their first game in Friday evening at 8 pm.
