Sydney, NS – The CAPERS comeback came just short as they dropped a heartbreaking 117-116 double OT defeat on Saturday night at the Sullivan Field House. Osman Omar (Mississauga, ON) had a game-high 34 points in the loss with Izaiah Ugualah also having a strong game with 23 points for the losers. The X-Men got string games from the trio of Azaro Roker with 30 pts and 20 rebounds, Avan Nava with 25 pts and Justin Andrew with 22 pts and 5 rebounds.
The X-Men led for most of the game only to give a CBU run late in regulation as the CAPERS forced overtime. Both overtime periods were hard-fought and physical with several players hitting the deck. Ultimately is was Roker's strong play on the glass that helped the X-Men take the road victory.
