Bio

Head Coach Matt Skinn, a Native of Welland, ON, came to CBU in 1999 as a 5-year player.  After graduating, he completed grad school at the University of Calgary with his Masters of Science in Sports Psychology.
 
Coach Skinn began his coaching career at St. Francis Xavier University coaching the X-Women Program.  His time in Antigonish was highlighted by a 4th place finish at the USports National Championship in 2010.
 
In May of 2012, Matt was named the Head Coach of the CBU CAPERS Men's Basketball Program.  The CAPERS captured the AUS Championship, and a number 2 National ranking in 2013, the same season that Matt was named AUS Coach of the Year.
 
During a 2 year hiatus from the program from 2016-2018, Matt returned to the University of Calgary, where he served as the Associate Head Coach during the Dinos National Championship season in 2018.
 
Returning to the program in the Spring of 2018, this year will mark Matt's 9th season overall with the CAPERS.
 
Coach Skinn resides in Sydney, Nova Scotia with his 2 dogs OG and Piper.
