(HALIFAX, NS) Ian Greedy (Lower Sackville, NS) scored a hat trick for Cape Breton Capers as they beat the Dalhousie Tigers 4-1 on the road in AUS men's soccer action. Cape Breton's (3-2-1) win puts them in 3rd place in the AUS while the Tigers (2-3-2) are tied for 5th.
The Capers opened up the scoring early when Ian Greedy scored on a penalty kick in the 19th minute. He would add another in the final minutes of the first half to make it 2-0 for Cape Breton.
The Tigers keeper, Tristan Leopold (Bedford, NS) made a remarkable diving save in the first half to keep the deficit at 2 going into the dressing room.
Mark Stewart (Liverpool, England) extended the Capers lead to 3 in the 76th minute. The Tigers countered quickly when Ryan Lewars (Ottawa, ON) gave the team some life scoring in the 81st minute to make it 3-1 .
The Capers went on to win 4-1, with the final goal being scored by Ian Greedy.
