Halifax, NS - The Cape Breton Univeristy men's soccer team is piling up wins as the season progresses. Their most recent success was a 6-0 victory of the Saint Mary's Huskies on Saturday afternoon. Both teams battled through the weather but the CAPER attack proved too much for the Huskies.
The CAPERS received goals from six different players in a fantastic overall effort. Marcus Campanile (Edinburgh, SCO), Joel Eckert-Ayensa (Pulhaim, GER), Peter Schaale (Bernkastel-Keus, GER) with 2, Corey Bent (Preston, UK) and Matt Larter (Waverly, NS) scored for the high powered CAPERS offense. The CAPERS outshot their mainland rivals 12-3. Ben Jackson (Bury, UK) and Victor Lyczywek (Toronto, ON) split time in goal for Cape Breton.
The CAPERS look to continue their current run of victories when they travel to Wolfville. The game between the top two teams in the AUS will start at 3:15pm.
