Sydney, NS- The hometown #1 seed Cape Breton University CAPERS pleased the home crowd by beating the 4th seeded Acadia Axemen 5-0. Charlie Waters (Lancashire, UK) and captain Stuart Heath (Belfast, IE) each scored a pair and Cory Bent (Preston, UK) added a single for the undefeated CAPERS. Axemen goalie Pietro Nottegar (Dartmouth, NS) made 4 saves on 9 shots.
Turning point – Captain Stuart Heath scored in the 24th minute that put the game out of reach midway through the 1st half. The CAPERS were able to keep the Axemen from any serious attacks the rest of the game.
