(SACKVILLE, NB) Against a partly cloudy backdrop, the Mounties men's soccer team celebrated their graduating seniors before taking to the field against the Cape Breton Capers Sunday afternoon.
The visitors stuck first in the 19th minute with the goal coming off the boot of Jamie Nicholson (North Petherton, UK). This was the only goal of the first half as the teams headed into the locker rooms with Cape Breton ahead by 1.
Tensions flared early in the second half, but it was Cape Breton that ended up doubling their lead in the 68th minute with the goal coming from 1st year Nikolai Scheurenbrand (Nebrigen, DE). Ze Cunha (Cascais, Portugal) put the finishing touches on this match with a goal in the 72nd minute for the Capers. The AUS Player of the Game for this match was Ze Cunha of the Cape Breton Capers.
