4.       Why did you choose to come to CBU?

I have grown up learning to play the sports I love with this school and supported these teams since I was a little girl. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. And it is just my dream come true to be a Caper. 

5.       What is your pre-game routine and how long have you been doing it?

My pre game routine would consist of listening to some music if possible, eating something semi-filling, & doing a couple tuck jumps or knee highs to loosen up before the actual warm up begins. I've been doing it at least since I started playing in high school and the pressure really started to sink in. 

6.       What do you do in your free time?

I don't have much free time, but if I can, I spend it with my family, watching a movie or tv. Something relaxing is usually what I want to do.

7.       Who’s your favourite professional athlete and why?

I'd have to say Christine Sinclair, just recently after her amazing performance at the 2012 Olympics! She is very inspiring, showing that anyone can make a difference, and any team can rise above. 

8.       What is your best memory from playing your sport?

My best memory from playing a sport would have to be winning four provincial championships within a year. Each one was so exciting, and there's nothing that can beat that feeling of accomplishment knowing that you helped lead this team to victory!!! 

9.       If you weren’t playing this sport, what would you be doing and why?

If I wasn't playing these sports, I would most likely be studying and doing schoolwork ALL THE TIME. I'd be trying to be at the top of my class for sure! And I'd probably turn into a gym rat I'd be there so much. 

10.   When did you start playing your sport? How did you get started?

I started playing both of my sports when I was just a little girl, probably 5ish. And I started by going to Capers camps! 

11.   What is your favourite place to eat and why?

My favourite place to eat would be Swiss Chalet. I love a good home cooked meal, and even though it isn't exactly home cooked.. It's about as close as you can get on the road. 

12.   Where would you go for your dream vacation and why?

I would most likely go to New York. I'm not one to just laze around on a beach for a week, I like to do activities and stay busy! I'd say New York would just be the perfect spot, it's absolutely beautiful and there's lots to do! 

13.   How did playing varsity sports improve your university experience?

My university sports experience has opened up my experience to so many more people, I have met lots and lots of people through playing my sports. Along with it being a dream come true, it has kept me in shape, and busy throughout the year. I couldn't imagine a university experience without a little athletic competition.
