4.     Why did you choose to come to CBU?

I love the small school atmosphere and that the science programs are outstanding and have great resources and professors! I knew that I would be put in a position to succeed both in the classroom and on the basketball court. All the athletic programs here are well established and filled with very talented people, and I really wanted to be a part of that.

5.     What is your pre-game routine and how long have you been doing it?

For my pre-game routine I listen to music and get myself mentally and physically prepared by going over our gameplan and then getting lots of shots up before the game, which I have been doing for the past four years.

6.     What do you do in your free time?

In my free time I like to relax, because being a full time student and a varsity athlete can be stressful sometimes! I like to watch tv, read, cook and hang out with my friends.

7.     Who’s your favourite professional athlete and why?

      I’ve always been a fan of Michael Jordan, for his dedication and work ethic that made him one of the best players to have ever played the game.

8.     What is your best memory from playing your sport?

My favourite memory is from my first year, when CBU hosted the AUS Championship and we won. Winning such a big title in my first year, in front of our home crowd was amazing, and will always stay with me.

9.   If you weren’t playing this sport, what would you be doing and why?

      If I wasn’t playing basketball, I may have been playing volleyball instead! I played in middle and high school and really enjoyed it.

10.   When did you start playing your sport? How did you get started?

I began to officially play basketball when I was in Grade 2. I started in a house-league program and then began playing rep basketball when I was in Grade 4.

11.   What is your favourite place to eat and why?

One of my favourite places to eat is a sushi place in Waterloo called Sakura Island. it’s small with a great atmosphere and has really good food!

12.   Where would you go for your dream vacation and why?

I would love to go to Australia to snorkel, travel the outback and relax on the beach.

13.   How did playing varsity sports improve your university experience?

      Playing basketball made my university experience amazing! Varsity sports teach organization, time management and social skills that will definitely help me later on in my life. I made great friends over my four years here and it allowed me to travel all over North America. One of the best parts was that I got to be part of a culture that is important to the school and the community, which is a great feeling.
