WBB: CAPERS move to 6-0 with 86-83 victory over MUN
Brown and Calliste lead CAPERS to victory over Memorial University.

Sydney, NS – The CAPERS defeated the Memorial Seahawks 86-83 on Saturday night at the Sullivan Fieldhouse. The game had a lot of lead changes in both directions but the CAPERS used a strong 4thquarter to close out the game and earn the victory. Cape Breton outscored Memorial in the 1stand 4thquarters, while the Seahawks took the middle stanzas. The CAPERS took advantage of the Seahawks getting into foul trouble in the second half to complete the comeback. The CAPERS were once again led by their frontcourt- backcourt duo of Hannah Brown (North Sydney, NS) and Monique Calliste (Toronto, ON). Brown had 27 points and 15 rebounds, while Calliste had 24 points and 8 rebounds. The Seahawks were led by the trio of Sydney Stewart (21 points), Hallie Nickerson (20 points, 9 rebounds) and Sydney Ezekiel (19 points, 9 rebounds).
Turning point – The CAPERS completed the comeback with a 5-0 run in the 4thquarter with a big 3 from Monique Calliste to break open the game.
