Capers women edge Dal, improve to 3-0 on season

The Dalhousie Tigers scored an own goal to give the Cape Breton University Capers a 2-1 victory in Atlantic University Sport women’s soccer action Saturday at the Cape Breton
Health Recreation Complex turf field.
Midfielder Jessica Furtado was the lone goal scorer for the Capers, who improved to 3-0 with the victory.
Lauren Landry responded for Dalhousie in a losing cause.
The Capers men weren’t as lucky in their home game against Dalhousie, suffering a 3-2 setback on Saturday.
Tyler Lewars scored twice for Dalhousie, while Nathan Rogers added a single goal.
Fifth-year player Jason Massie and rookie player Shota Ashihara netted goals for CBU.
