Why did you choose to come to CBU?

I chose to come to CBU because of the great atmosphere the school and the community has, plus the soccer staff and team seemed great.

What is your pre-game routine and how long have you been doing it?

My pre-game routine is to make sure I have a good playlist going throughout the day. Staying hydrated. I always have two pairs of socks on and tie my shoes in 3-4 knots. I have been doing this for about six years now.

What do you do in your free time?

I read or watch movies and shows on Netflix.

Who’s your favourite professional athlete and why?

I have many favourite athletes and they all have one thing in common, which is they play soccer. But If I were to choose one it would have to be Oscar on the Brazilian team, because of the calmness and composure he displays when he has the ball at his feet, like the rest of the Brazilian team. But he has a smoothness to shots and crosses that make it look effortless and he is willing to step into any position.

What is your best memory from playing your sport?

The best memory from playing soccer would have to be the U17 Ontario Cup, and my summer team Richmond Hill (RH) made it to the finals. We were playing our rival team Ajax and this game determined which team moved on and got to participate at Nationals which was held at Cape Breton University. The game was very intense, but everyone put 110 per cent into this game. RH scored the first goal off of the header and we just continued to dominate. Ajax came back in the second half tying it up and there was I think three minutes left in the game and I got a through ball that went behind the defence and scored. We won the game and got to move on to Nationals and it was the first time I had to opportunity to beat Ajax. It was a great feeling that I got to experience with my team. Hard work really did pay off.

If you weren’t playing this sport, what would you be doing and why?

I would probably be doing track because as a kid I was really fast and had so much energy. Or either gymnastics or dance, because I was flexible and willing to do stunts and I can could stay on beat and keep rhythm.

When did you start playing your sport? How did you get started?

I started playing since I was like four. My parents put me in soccer because I had a lot energy and I think they thought they needed to put me in something and it would tire me out.

What is your favourite place to eat and why?

Wild Wings, because I LOVEEEEE wings and it gives me an excuse to eat with my hands. :)

Where would you go for your dream vacation and why?

That’s tricky. I’m not sure, I kind of want to go everywhere and travel to different places as my vacation. Because you get to try different food everyday and always be seeing something new each day and meeting different people and learning the different languages.

How did playing varsity sports improve your university experience?

It introduced me to new people and helped me make friends. Responsibility was improved a lot, I made sure to keep organized and have everything that I needed.
