An offensive outburst to kick off the second half paced the Cape Breton University Capers to a 5-0 victory over the StFX X-Women in AUS women's soccer action Friday evening in Sydney.
After a hard fought scoreless first half, the Capers (6-2-2) Scored three times in the first 10 minutes of the second half to cruise to a convincing win over the X-Women (5-2-2).
Karolyne Blain with her seventh of the season in the 48th minute, Chelsea Currie in the 52nd minute and Ciera Disipio in the 54th minute got things rolling for CBU.
Disipio added her second of the game in the 62nd minute and Chantal Caron with her first as a Caper in the 84th minute rounded out the scoring for the Capers.
The X-Women will be back in action Sunday when they have an away date with the Dalhousie Tigers.
The Capers will be off until next weekend when they have a pair of road games in Halifax with the Saint Mary's Huskies and Dalhousie Tigers.
