WSOC CAPERS Remain Perfect
The CBU CAPERS defeated the Acadia Axewomen 1-0 in Friday night tilt in Sydney.
Sydney, NS- 5th-year player Tamara Brown (Whitby, ON) scored the first goal of the game at 5' mark with the assist going to 4th-year player Keona Simmonds(Brampton, ON). The CAPERS fired 8 shots on goal in their victory. Possession was even during most of the game and Acadia proved to be a strong test for the undefeated CAPERS. Goalkeeper Lysianne Trottier (Barrie, ON) had a pretty intense game finishing with 8 saves. Acadia goalie Sarah Charnock also had her hands full with 7 save performance.
Turning point
Tamara Brown scored the 1st goal for CBU moving them ahead early in the game. The rest of the game featured a lot of midfield battles with an even amount of shots on both sides.
