Sydney, NS- Ciera DiSipio (Ottawa, ON), Rachel Leck (Pickering, ON) & Alyssa Armstrong (St.John's, NL) each scored singles for the CAPERS and senior Keona Simmonds (Brampton, ON) scored a pair of goals in the CAPERS surprising 5-0 win over the Memorial Seahawks. Keeper Rachel Yerxa (Mississauga, ON) turned aside 4 shots on the way to a clean sheet.
Turning point
Rachel Leck scored while falling down in the 8th minute which put the CAPERS up 2-0 early on against the 1st place Seahawks. From that point on CBU kept attacking in waves and keep the usual potent Memorial offense at bay.
Individual Leaders
- 3rd-year CAPER Simmonds and 5th year Armstrong led the way with 2 points apiece
- Simmonds led all scorers with 2 goals
- Armstrong and a pair of CBU rookies, Amelia Carlini (Ottawa, ON) & MacKenna King (Barrie, ON) each had assist
- Simmonds & DiSipio led the game with 3 shots on a goal each with 2 shots
- SeaHawk keeper Sydney Walsh led in saves with 7
