Guysborough County- The National Silver Medalist CBU women's soccer program got off to a good start in their first preseason game of the 2018 season. The CAPERS opened the year with a convincing 3-1 win over archrival St. Francis Xavier University. 4th-year player Chantal Caron, 2nd-year Madison Lavers (Halifax, NS) (Ottawa, ON) and rookie Erin Freeman (Halifax, NS) scored for the CAPERS. veteran keeper Rachel Yerxa(Mississauga, ON) earned the victory.
