The Cape Breton University CAPERS ended their regular season on a winning note as they defeated the Université de Moncton Aigles 4-1 on Saturday afternoon. The win guaranteed the defending AUS Champions second place in the AUS standings and a first-round bye to the semi-finals in next week's championships being hosted in Sydney.
The Aigles Bleues (2-8-2=8pts, 8th position) bowed 4-1 to the Capers (9-2-1=28pts, 2nd position) in women soccer. Subway player of the game, Allyah Rowe, scored three times for the Capers and Rachel Leck had the first. The visitors were leading 2-1 at half time. Chelsea Burnham made 4 saves in the loss and Haley Kardas, 2 for the win. Cape Breton had 4 corner kicks and Moncton, one.
