(Moncton) - The Cape Breton University Capers were in Moncton on Sunday at the Stade Croix Bleue Medavie and left with a win over Université de Moncton Aigles in Atlantic University Sport soccer action.
The CAPERS took a 3-0 lead in the first half to claim a 4-0 win over the Blue and Gold local team. Erin Freeman led the offense with two goals for the visitors. Alliyah Rowe and Victoria Miller completed the scoring. Moncton did not have a shot on goal against keeper Hayley Kardas while Chelsea Burnham of the Aigles Bleues got bombarded with 13 shots, including 9 in the second half. The Capers had 8 corner shots (2-6) while Moncton had none.
The CAPERS return home next weekend to host Memorial on Saturday and Acadia on Sunday, both games are at 1 pm.
