Bio

Head Coach Ness Timmons completed his 26th year coaching the Cape Breton University's CAPERS in 2022-23.

He has led the CAPERS to 12 CIS National Championship appearances.  Ness has received the AUS Coach of the Year award 7 times, and the CIS National Coach of the year 3 times. The team has won 12 AUS titles and captured the CAPERS's first CIS National Gold medal in 2007.

In the last ten years, the CAPERS have enjoyed the best overall record of all soccer teams in the AUS, with the most conference banners in the country, and the CAPERS have been ranked in the Nation's Top 10 for each of those years. Consistently competitive; the CAPERS have finished in the Conference Final-4 every season since 2000. Timmons has also represented Canada as the head coach of the CIS National FISU Games soccer team in South Korea, in 2003.

Timmons lives in New Waterford with his wife, Jari-Ann. They have 2 daughters, Stephanie and Hannah. CBU offers annual Athletic/Leadership scholarships in the memory of their son, Connor, a former varsity athlete."
