The Cape Breton University Capers posted a 3-0 victory over the visiting Regina Cougars in CIS women's preseason soccer action Saturday at the Cape Breton Health Recreation Complex on the CBU campus.
Chelsea Currie, Shanice Maxwell and 2013 AUS Most Valuable Player Karolyne Blain all scored first half goals for the Capers.Tiffany O'Donnell and Lysianne Trottier split the game in the Capers goal to record the shutout.
The defending AUS champion Capers will open the 2014 season this Sunday when they host the Saint Mary;'s Huskies in a 1 p.m. start.
